COEUR D'ALENE, Wash. - Dave Tysdal, one of the firefighters shot in an ambush near Canfield Mountain on June 29th , is on the road to recovery.
The Coeur d'Alene Fire Department shared a message on social media with an update on Tysdal's rehabilitation and thanked the community for all its support.
"Dave, Annie and their children would like to thank the community and folks from all over the United States for their continued support. Though Dave is still unable to move his legs, his gun shot wound, clavicle, lungs, and arm strength are getting better and better each day."
Tysdal has had at least four surgeries as a result of the shooting.
