MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- An altercation that broke out on Thursday afternoon led to one person being taken into custody and another with minor injuries in Montgomery County.

Just after 1:45 p.m., the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said on social media that it was at the scene of an assault at the intersection of Fenton Street and Ellsworth Drive.

The assault had initially been reported as a stabbing in the area, MCPD noted.

As of the social media post, a suspect had been taken into custody and the scene was secure. One person had non-life-threatening injuries.
