SIOUX CITY -- Voters will elect at least two new members to the Sioux City Council in November.
Mayor Pro Tem Dan Moore and Councilman Alex Watters confirmed Wednesday they are not seeking reelection.
Moore, a Sioux City attorney, has served on the council since 2013. He was elected to his third, four-year term in 2021. In January 2016, Mayor Bob Scott appointed Moore to serve as mayor pro tem.
"I never thought this day would come, and it's here," Moore said as he stood at the podium in the City Council Chambers Wednesday afternoon and announced that he won't be seeking a fourth term on the council.
