ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — Although the official start of autumn is a month away, the temperatures and pumpkin spice lattes are getting people in the fall spirit.
Pumpkin patches and corn mazes across Hampton Roads are gearing up for another season — something that takes months to prepare for.
Historic Greenbrier Farms in Chesapeake is currently closed to the public to get the farm ready.
In North Carolina at Brothers Farm, Bobby Brothers said the corn maze gave him a hard time in the beginning, but it will end up great. "Well, the corn maze we had to plant three times to get to stand because every time we planted it, we got three or four inches of rain, so we are a little bit behind, but not much," Brothers said. "It will catch up."
He said he usually plants the corn maze in June,
