BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A woman accused of stabbing a man four times while trying to steal money was arrested Thursday morning, according to the NYPD.

Shivaun Charles, 45, of Brooklyn, was charged with two counts of robbery.

The incident happened around 7:10 a.m. near Belmont and George Avenues.

Police say Charles approached the 40-year-old victim and stabbed him four times on the left side of his body.

Charles then fled the scene in a black SUV heading north on Georgia Avenue, police say.

The victim was taken to an area hospital. An update on his condition has not been provided.
