LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The fall watering schedule goes into effect on Monday, Sept. 1, the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) reminds residents and businesses.
That's when watering days drop to three days a week. Landscape irrigation follows assigned watering days. Find your assigned days at snwa.com.
Mandatory restrictions are in effect Sept. 1 through Oct. 31, when the winter schedule will begin. Watering outside of your assigned watering days can result in costly water-waste fines. Watering on Sunday is always prohibited.
Cooler temperatures generally begin in September, and landscapes need less water.
