MANITOWOC, Wis. — After an exhausting stretch of contests to start its season, the Ludington boys varsity soccer team hopped on the S.S. Badger Lake Michigan Carferry Service and made the trip to Manitowoc, Wisconsin on Wednesday.

The Orioles didn’t miss a beat, picking up wins over Kiel High School, 2-0, and Lincoln High-Manitowoc, 3-2.

Ludington had won four games in a row. It is now 5-2-1 on the year and 2-0 in West Michigan Conference action.

After making the trip across Lake Michigan, the Orioles opened Carferry Cup action against Kiel.

Senior goalkeeper Gabe Gamez only faced two shots and he stopped them both.

Ayden Eaton and Aiden Wendt each notched a goal in the contest, to help the Orioles secure a 2-0 victory.

Ludington followed that win up with a match against Lincoln High
