For the second time this year, brown-shelled eggs have been recalled over potential salmonella contamination.

The eggs were produced by Country Eggs, LLC of California. The affected eggs are large, brown, cage-free eggs branded as “Sunshine Yolks” or “Omega-3 Golden Yolks,” with sell-by dates ranging from July 1 to Sep. 16, 2025. They were sold through grocery stores -- including under the brand names Nagatoshi Produce, Nijiya Markets and Misuho -- but were also sold in bulk to food service distributors in California and Nevada.
