SMITHFIELD – The Smithfield Lady Sentinels Soccer Team and the wider community are rallying behind senior star player Phoebe Morgan, who is receiving her final treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Her team and soccer mom Jennifer Tsonos will raise funds on her behalf with a Purple Out on Saturday, Sept. 13, with a day of scrimmages, cheerleading, and soccer.

In March, Morgan felt out of breath from walking up a flight of stairs. Her doctors and specialists found a lump in her neck, as well as a mass in her chest.

Morgan met with representatives from The Tomorrow Fund Clinic at Hasbro Children’s Hospital for an echocardiogram, and CT Scan. Combined with her blood work, doctors diagnosed her with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on March 17.

She underwent surgery to remove the lump, and began chemotherap
