BLACKSTONE — With a major vote behind them and a key deadline looming, Blackstone-Millville school officials are entering a pivotal phase in the development of a new high school building.

The School Building Committee voted unanimously last Tuesday to endorse a new construction plan known as Option 7.4, calling for a grade 7-12 facility to replace the aging Blackstone-Millville Regional High School.

The decision followed months of deliberation over grade configurations and design concepts, as well as a series of community engagement efforts.

“This is really the defining moment for what the future of Blackstone-Millville Regional High School could be,” former Supt. Jason DeFalco previously told The Breeze . “We’re at the point where ideas are going to become decisions.”
