HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - University of Arizona defensive coordinator Danny Gonzales debuted a custom shirt earlier this week, showcasing the connection between Arizona and the University of Hawaii.
Below the “Aloha” with the two school logos bears the name Dick Tomey — name synonymous with both programs.
The late coaching legend was the head man in Manoa from 1977-86, leaving as one the winningest coach in program history at the time.
Coach Tomey followed that up with a 14-season stint in Tucson, where he still has the most wins for a Wildcats head coach.
