Last summer, the Green Bay Packers gave Jordan Love a four-year, $220 million contract extension. This summer, the Jacksonville Jaguars gave Trevor Lawrence a five-year deal worth $275 million with $200 million guaranteed.

Those deals put Lawrence and Love in the top five in the league in average annual value, with Dak Prescott ($60 m), Josh Allen and Joe Burrow (both at $55 m), on top of the list.

As far as Allen and Burrow go, they have led their teams to AFC title games, and Burrow led the Bengals to Super Bowl LVI before losing to the Los Angeles Rams.

NFL Exec Questioned QB Contracts

For Prescott, Lawrence, and Love, those contracts are a bit puzzling, and one NFL executive recently questioned the big money being paid to some signal-callers, per Jeff Howe of The Athletic.
