LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Police say a man is in the hospital after a shooting in the Waterson Park neighborhood that is believed to have started with a car crash.

Officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 3300 block of Newburd Road at around 9:15 p.m. on Thursday, August 28.

At the scene, police found a man with a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to UofL Hospital where he is expected to survive.

LMPD believes that all parties in the incident are accounted for, but the investigation is ongoing, and charges have still not been determined.

Officers believe that the parties involved were in a crash earlier somewhere on Taylor Boulevard, but are still investigating to confirm.
