ARIZONA, USA — A group of young Arizonans is taking their concerns straight to the top.
They are requesting a meeting with the CEO of Arizona’s largest power company, APS, to discuss the utility’s recent abandonment of a “zero carbon” goal and coal phase-out.
The AZ Youth Climate Coalition , made up of teens statewide and students at ASU, sent a letter to APS last week asking to personally meet with CEO Ted Geisler or another executive with the company. They say they want the generation most likely to be impacted by climate change and pollution to have a seat at the table at APS.
