COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus City Utilities (CCU) recently received several awards at the 2025 Indiana Water Environment Association’s (IWEA) annual conference in Indianapolis in August.

The City of Columbus congratulated the staff for their dedication and diligence throughout the year.

The CCU Quality Control Lab picked up the IWEA Laboratory Excellence Award. Each year, IWEA travels the state to conduct a lab audit. Each lab must have an overall audit score of at least 90% to be eligible for the award. The Columbus City Utilities Quality Control Lab scored a 99.8% rating during its audit.
