Two drivers have suffered serious injuries following a crash near the A20. Police are asking for witnesses to come forward following the collision in Alkham.

Kent Police were called to Alkham Valley Road, which passes under the A20, at 9pm on Monday, August 25 where It is reported that a collision took place involving a blue Seat Ibiza and a silver BMW.

Officers attended along with paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service.

Police said both drivers suffered injuries described as being life changing, with one driver taken to local hospital, and the other to a London hospital for treatment.

Kent Police said: "Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are urging motorists who were in the area at the time to check for any relevant dashcam footage.
