A Hailey man is facing up to 30 years in prison and $100,000 in fines after allegedly inflicting life-threatening injuries on his partner during a violent attack on Saturday.
Jose Luis Huesca Aguilar, 48, appeared Monday afternoon in 5th District Court on one count of felony domestic battery with traumatic injury and one count of felony attempted strangulation. He also faces two misdemeanor charges of telecommunication-line destruction and driving under the influence, according to a charging document filed Monday by Blaine County Prosecutor Matt Fredback.
According to an affidavit filed by Blaine County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Aidan Franscioni, officers responded to a domestic battery report in a Blaine County subdivision around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and learned that the suspect had fled
