New weather maps have revealed the areas of England set to experience an Indian Summer and a September heatwave. The UK is poised to be hotter than France as the September heatwave maps turn red.

The UK is bracing for a September heatwave, with temperatures predicted to surpass those in France. WX Charts' maps and charts, which utilise Met Desk data, indicate that temperatures around 25C and 26C are on the horizon.

The heat plume is anticipated across September 8, with France's temperatures being three or four degrees Celsius lower. Areas set to enjoy the warmth include Cornwall, Devon, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Somerset and Hampshire.

Other regions expected to bask in the heat are Sussex, Surrey, the Isle of Wight, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Kent, Cambridgeshire, Greater London and Berksh
