This morning, the sky is gradually clearing, and temperatures are in the upper 50s along and north of Highway 278.
THE NEXT 24 HOURS: The sky will be mostly sunny for areas along Interstate 20 with temperatures starting in the 60s. As we head into the afternoon, highs will return to the mid- and upper 80s along and northeast of I-20 and I-22, where there won’t be many clouds.
As the clouds remain thick across the west and southwest Alabama, afternoon highs could easily be in the upper 70s all afternoon. As the boundary hangs out around the Gulf Coast, we have kept a 20% chance for a shower tonight through Labor Day Weekend.
