WACO, Tex. ( WSFA ) - The Auburn Tigers’ off-season slumber will be woken up in Waco Friday. Will they be able to slay the Baylor Bears as they come out of football hibernation?

We’d be lyin’ if we said we weren’t excited about Tigers and Bears, oh my!

This won’t be the first meeting between the two programs but it has been a long time. The last meeting took place in Waco in 1976 with Baylor holding a 2-1-1 lead over Auburn.

Led by third year head coach Hugh Freeze and transfer quarterback Jackson Arnold, a difficult road test to start the year will quickly answer question marks for anxious fans.

To make Arnold’s life easier he’ll have the help of sophomore receiver Cam Coleman and Georgia Tech transfer Eric Singleton Jr. Both pass catchers received All-SEC preseason honors.
