GTA faces 121,000-unit rental gap over the next decade: BILD report

If there is a silver lining to the housing crisis, there’s been a noticeable increase so far this year in the number of newly built rental properties in the GTA.

Be that as it may, BILD’s latest whitepaper on purpose-built rental (PBR) housing called says this year’s resurgence in the Toronto rental market will not nearly be enough.

Developed in collaboration with research firm Urbanation and Finnegan Marshall, the report states the one-time supply surge in new rental buildings in 2025 will provide temporary relief only and, it won’t keep pace with future demand.
