Three people have been taken to hospital after a serious crash on the M2 . Kent Police was called to the collision shortly after 10.15am this morning (August 29).

It had happened on the London-bound carriageway, between junction 6 for Faversham and junction 5 for Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Maidstone (Stockbury Roundabout), and it involved a lorry and two cars. Emergency services, including police patrols, highways officers, fire crews and paramedics, attended the scene.

A police spokesperson said: "Three people were treated for injuries at the scene. They were taken to a local hospital for further medical attention and the vehicles were recovered."
