MAYFIELD, Ky. (WSMV) - Kentucky State Police Post 1 will take part in Operation C.A.R.E. (Crash Awareness and Reduction Effort) over the Labor Day weekend

KSP is joining law enforcement agencies across the country in an effort to keep roads safe during one of the busiest travel times of the year.

The initiative begins Friday, Aug. 29, and runs through Monday, Sept. 1. Troopers will increase patrols on highways and interstates, focusing on impaired driving, speeding, distracted driving, and seat belt violations.
