MINEOLA, N.Y. (PIX11) – A Levittown teenager is accused of setting off a fire alarm at a courthouse and biting a detective on Thursday, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Police said 19-year-old Connor McCoy allegedly pulled the alarm inside the Nassau County Supreme Court in Mineola, causing the building to be evacuated. Detectives later went to McCoy’s home to take him into custody, according to authorities.
Police said McCoy allegedly bit the detectives on his forearm. The detective was taken to a local hospital, according to authorities.
McCoy was charged with falsely reporting an incident, assault and resisting arrest. He’s set to be arraigned on Friday.
