SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Springfield Public Works reports that storm debris pickup in Zone is nearly complete with a small number of residences left to sweep.
An estimated 18,364 cubic tons of debris has been collected since sweeps began on Aug. 11. Public Works estimates 70% of Zone 3 debris has been picked up, while the City’s tree management contractor has addressed about 5% of Zone 2.
Residents in Zone 1 with storm debris piles still at the curb should call the Citizen Resource Center at 417-864-1010 to report.
Debris pickup sweeps will begin in Zone 4 on Tuesday, Sept. 2 due to the Labor Day holiday. Zone 4 residents are reminded to move all storm debris to the street by 7 a.m. in preparation for pickup.
