SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Missouri Thunder Professional Bull Riders team is back in Springfield, hosting their homestead event. 10 teams will be competing over the weekend for Missouri Thunder Days.
The General Manager of the Missouri Thunder, Luke Snyder, says they look forward to coming to Springfield all season. According to Snyder, the hometown feel is important to bring a big crowd to cheer on the riders.
Synder has been involved with many aspects of professional bull riding; he was a rider himself, a coach, and now he is a general manager.
He says you never know what will happen in the eight seconds when the bulls and riders exit the chute. It's part of what makes watching PBR such a unique experience.
"PBR is just like a rock concert with some Western sports mixed in," Snyder said.
