LETCHER Co., Ky. (WYMT) - After hearing complaints about two raccoons running around the parking lot at the Letcher County Health Department, Misty Combs, who works as a nurse in the area, knew she had to do something.

After going to check out the scene, Combs said she found the two raccoons in a dumpster.
“One was underwater and the other one was just like on top of some bags,” Combs said. “There was a shovel nearby. I grabbed that shovel and got the one that was on top of the bags out, and it ran over and joined its mom.”
She said she was not able to get the other raccoon, since it was in the water. So, a janitor with the health department helped to get it out.
