PLATTSBURGH, New York (WWNY) - A North Country couple had pleaded guilty to assaulting, resisting, and impeding federal officers.

United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III and Chief Patrol Agent Robert Garcia of the U.S. Border Patrol’s Swanton Sector made the announcement Friday.

As part of their pleas, Richard A. Dominie, 22, of Lisbon, and Brianna H. Rathbun, 19, of Massena, admitted that on March 12, 2025, around 9:45 p.m., Dominie was driving dangerously and recklessly on County Route 4 in Fort Covington with Rathbun as a passenger.

Officials say a United States Border Patrol agent was also traveling west on County Route 4 in an unmarked Border Patrol K9 vehicle, en route to the Massena Border Patrol station to begin his shift.
