CALDWELL, W.Va. (WV News) — Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced more than half a million dollars in site readiness grants during an event held Friday at Greenbrier State Forest.

The $75,000 grants will support development of build-ready sites throughout the state in order to attract new companies and investments, Morrisey said.

"A lot of what businesses want is they want to make sure when they are coming to a state, they have sites that are ready to be activated, that can be put into place to bring business to bear right away," he said.

Site readiness entails making sure sites are connected to water and sewer and have access to high-speed internet and reliable sources of energy, Morrisey said.
