LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Officials have announced single and double lane closures on I-64 near the Sherman Minton Bridge for the next week and an additional week in September.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the lane closures will allow for a routine inspection of the I-64 East and West bridge approaches for the Sherman Minton Bridge, which links Louisville, Kentucky and New Albany, Indiana.

KYTC said single lane closures on I-64 West, Louisville to New Albany, would take place from Sept. 2 to Sept. 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Single lane closures on I-64 East, New Albany to Louisville, are scheduled between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. for both Sept. 2 through Sept. 5 and Sept. 22 through Sept. 26.
