Significant issues impacting Chatham-Kent including affordable housing, mental health, addiction and food insecurity will take time to solve and the United Way is ready to bring the community together to find solutions.

The first six months of this year were spent reaching out to residents through surveys, focus groups and conservations to develop Voices of Chatham-Kent: Shaping Our Community’s Future Together, which was released by the United Way Centraide Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent.

“This is more than just a report,” said United Way chief executive Lorraine Goddard. “It’s a foundational step towards shaping a long-term strategy that is rooted in lived experiences of local residents.”
