Saanich Police have now confirmed that three people were arrested after a report of gunfire in the Gordon Head area earlier this week.

Previously, the police department said that a driver and an unspecified number of passengers were arrested.

Now, Saanich Police says David Andrew, Amrit Singh and Miguel Widmann were arrested and have been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

On Aug. 26, just before 10:30 p.m., officers were called to a report of gunfire near the intersection of Shelbourne Street and Torquay Drive.

The caller said that there was a “brief interaction” with people in a vehicle, after which one of the occupants pulled out a handgun, shot it into the air,
