CARLSILE, Pa. (WHTM) - Carlisle Mayor Sean Schultz is responding to residents' concerns of "rumors" of rattlesnakes in the borough.

Schultz says there have been rumors that a rattlesnake den was disturbed at the 27-acre Frog, Switch site, which is under new ownership and being redeveloped. The business closed its Carlisle facility in 2023 after 125 years due to competition and capital improvement costs.

According to Schultz, there is "no evidence that a den was disturbed" at the site.

The borough, according to Shultz, has been investigating the claims on social media. Schultz says the borough fire chief contacted a representative for the site, who said they weren't aware of the presence of rattlesnakes on the property.
