COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A large police presence was spotted at the Patriot Place Apartments on Friday.

It was unconfirmed by CPD on what led to the presence at the apartments, located on 3700 Buena Vista Road.

Police are advising the public to avoid the area if possible, due to the investigation.

Earlier in the day, there was a shooting that happened inside Shirley B. Winston Park that police say could be connected to the incident.
