MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is investigating an accident that left a boy critically injured Friday afternoon.

At 2:32 p.m., officers responded to a one-vehicle accident where a boy was struck at Millbranch Road and East Raines Road.

MPD made the scene and located the boy, who was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

One woman has been detained so far in the investigation.
