TOLEDO, Ohio —

Wednesday morning mass had just finished at Saint Benedict Catholic School in Toledo when Father Jason Kahle learned about the deadly shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis .

"Our hearts were just simply broken," Kahle said. "A little bit of fear and anxiety, worry, what about us? Could this happen to us as a community, us being a Catholic parish and school?"

Kahle said the school and church already have safety measures in place, like locked doors and visiting resource officers, but changes are already in the works.

"We're going to just implement a new policy that five minutes before the school mass, our exterior doors of the church will be locked," Kahle said. "So anyone that wants to participate needs to be in the church by that time."
