TIFFIN, Ohio — An inmate at the Seneca County Jail is accused of physically assaulting two corrections officers who were taken to the hospital for their injuries on Friday.

A social media post from the county sheriff's office does not say how seriously the officers were hurt in the two incidents at the jail just south of Tiffin.

The sheriff's office says Robert Sugden, 18, of Cincinnati, was incarcerated at the jail for an unspecified misdemeanor charge when he physically assaulted one officer as he was being moved from one location to another.

While jail personnel tried to secure Sugden, the sheriff's office says he physically assaulted another corrections officer.

Sugden was eventually secured in detention, and the sheriff's office says he is accused of two felony counts of assault
