BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Good morning and happy Saturday!

We are starting out the last weekend of August with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. Temperatures have cooled into the upper 50s and lower 60s in parts of Marion, Winston, Cullman, Blount, Etowah and Cherokee counties.

Patchy fog can’t be ruled out, but most of the foggy conditions remain to our west in Mississippi. We are looking at decreasing clouds this morning giving way to a partly cloudy to mostly sunny sky.

I think the majority of us will remain dry and warm this afternoon with highs in the upper 80s. Winds are forecast to come from the northeast at 5 to 10 mph. If we see a stray shower, it will likely occur in Chilton, Coosa, Clay and Tallapoosa counties.

If you have any evening plans, we will likely remain dry
