That is the goal for Kendra Porter, a Grand Blanc native who owns Viva La Taco. 55

The growingly popular food truck finds its way around Genesee County, most recently parked out at the Genesee County Fair.

The venture was born out of a need to keep family business and recipes alive and available to the public.

In 2020, right around the time COVID-19 made most residents stay in their own homes, many restaurants and businesses were struggling — to serve food but more so, to stay financially afloat.

Many businesses closed shop that year, one of which was Taco King in Flint.
