HOUSTON (KIAH) — Five people, including four children, were hurt after a chain-reaction crash involving a METRO bus in north Houston, authorities said.

METRO said a suspect in a chase crashed at the 2900 block of Yale Street near the North Loop just before 5 p.m. Friday evening.

Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies were chasing a robbery suspect when the suspect crashed into another vehicle, which then hit the side of a METRO bus.

Deputies said he had stolen a "large quantity of Louis Vuitton bags" from a store in The Woodlands.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Office said 10 passengers were on board the bus in the crash, and four juveniles and an adult were transported to hospital.

Precinct 4 constables said that the robbery suspect tried to take off on foot but was apprehended
