HIAWATHA, Iowa (KCRG) - Linn County Public Health hosted an adaptive sports clinic showcasing ways for people with disabilities to get involved in athletics.
Miles Bell was born with Spina Bifida.
Miles and his family visited Linn County Public health’s clinic on Saturday in Guthridge Park.
It’s an event aiming to include everyone in baseball, dance, golf, and other physical activities.
“Our son, Miles, he loves sports. Whatever he can do to get to play,” said Jamie Bell, Miles’ mom.
The clinic is also meant to show what kind of disability support resources exist in Linn County, like an all-terrain wheelchair that’s available at the Indian Creek Nature Center.
