BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Baton Rouge Police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting that caused a driver to crash into the Smoothie King sign at the corner of Government St. at S. Foster Dr.

That happened around 3 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1.

Police pulled crime scene tape around the Smoothie King parking lot as well as a portion of the pumps at the Circle K on the other side of S. Foster Dr.

On scene, you could see where bullets pierced holes into the driver’s side car door. That car has since been towed from the scene.

No word yet on whether or not anyone was hurt. We’re staying in touch with the police for new information.
