TIFFIN, Ohio — A northwest Ohio man who nearly lost his life to heroin overdoses is now sharing his journey of recovery in hopes of inspiring others battling addiction.

Dylan Churella, caught in the grip of alcohol and heroin abuse, overdosed three times over a decade before turning his life around.

He credits the overdose-reversal drug Narcan with giving him the second chances he needed.

“Several times I’ve overdosed in Narcan. I was Narcan’d. And thank God for Narcan, because it saved my life and gave me the opportunity to start recovering,” said Churella.
