The owner of a new Birmingham takeaway spoke about one 'hard decision' after opening last month.

Despite the new era of Naanish, the takeaway in Great Barr has replaced a business with a lot of history.

Bas Abdul opened Naanish after his family's takeaway, Shah Balti Express, served the community for over 30 years.

The family takeaway would change ownership in 2019 and the business at the end of last year.

After spending thousands of pounds refurbishing, Bas admitted it was a 'hard decision' to go with a different name.

However, Bas believes rebranding with a new name and identity as a British Indian takeaway was crucial for the next 30 years ahead.
