High Point had five different players score rushing touchdowns en-route to a 35-17 season-opening road win over Jefferson in Oak Ridge.

A 44-yard touchdown rush by Joey Elko and a pair of short rushing touchdowns by Giovoughni Dureny and Jerry Empirio gave the Wildcats (1-0) a 21-3 lead heading to the second half.

Jayden Rupiall capped the win with a 33-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter and Jerron Martress punched in a five-yard touchdown rush in the third quarter.

Braeden Cummins ran in two touchdowns for the Falcons (0-1) while Jack Reed converted a 30-yard field goal in the opening quarter.
