Lucas Paqueta is set to stay at West Ham after they rejected Aston Villa's offer worth £47million, talkSPORT understands.

Villa wanted to take Paqueta on loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

As previously reported by talkSPORT, the Hammers value Paqueta in excess of £60m.

Owner David Sullivan also knows he faces a backlash from fans if they were to sell the Brazilian favourite.

Paqueta is available for selection for today's trip to Nottingham Forest, although manager Graham Potter will make the final call.

The 28-year-old has scored two goals in three appearances this season, although both came in defeats against Chelsea and Wolves.
