CHESHIRE, Conn. (WTNH) — On Saturday night, a driver who evaded a motor vehicle accident and later crashed is now in critical condition, sparking a multi-town investigation.
According to Cheshire police, at around 11:30 p.m., a caller reported that a white 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe was headed toward their town after evading a crash at the intersection of Knotter Drive and Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike in Southington.
The caller lost sight of the Tahoe as it sped away toward Cheshire, but a short while later, in the area of West Johnson Avenue, the operator of the Tahoe was seen lying unconscious on the ground.
Investigation revealed that after fleeing Southington, the driver of the Tahoe traveled east on West Johnson Avenue, crossed over into the westbound lane, and eventually left the roadway.
