A driver who was involved in crashes in Southington and Cheshire late Saturday night is in critical condition, police say.
Cheshire dispatchers said they received a 911 call around 11:30 p.m. from a driver who had just been hit by a white 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe at the intersection of Knotter Drive and Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike in Southington.

The caller said after the collision, the Tahoe sped off into Cheshire, went east on West Johnson Avenue and towards Route 10. Shortly after, the caller said they came upon a crash involving the Tahoe on West Johnson Avenue with the driver of the Tahoe on the ground, unconscious, according to police.
