A new sports and education centre being built at Southlands in East Middlesbrough will be a 'game-changer' for the local area, Chris Kamara has said. The former footballer and broadcaster, who grew up in Park End close to the site that is being redeveloped by the Council and MFC Foundation, had a tour of the works earlier this week.
He said: "I know first-hand how much this community loves its sport and deserves top-class facilities. Seeing the Southlands Hub take shape is emotional and exciting – it’s going to be a game-changer for people here.”
