Cool, dry weather continues across central Pa. with a possibility of rain later this week

A stretch of pleasant late-summer weather will persist through the early week, with cool nights and comfortable afternoons dominating the central Pennsylvania forecast.

Residents should be prepared for potential frost in northern areas Sunday morning, with otherwise mild and mostly sunny conditions expected.

High pressure centered over the Great Lakes will drive dry, mild weather across the region through Monday. Temperatures will reach near-normal levels, with daytime highs in the 70s and overnight lows dipping into the 30s and 40s, particularly in northern valleys. Morning fog is likely in river and stream valleys, burning off by mid-morning.
